What is Ashiatsu and what are the benefits?
In Japanese, “Ashi” translates to foot and “Atsu” into pressure. Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy™ is a barefoot massage technique utilized to improve the client’s postural alignment, range of motion, muscle responsiveness and overall health and well-being. Parallel bars are used above the massage table for balance, support and client safety.

*AS WITH ANY MASSAGE, PLEASE DRINK PLENTY OF WATER THROUGHOUT THE DAY (BEFORE AND AFTER SESSIONS)
*LIGHT, SLOW AND EASY STRETCHING IS OK
*ENJOY A NICE HOT EPSOM SALT BATH
Don'ts
*SIT FOR AN EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME. (IE. RIDING IN A CAR, SITTING AT A MOVIE,OR FLYING IN A PLANE FOR A FEW HOURS RIGHT AFTER RECEIVING ASHIATSU. THE GOAL IS TO AVOID COMPRESSION OF YOUR SPINE FOR A MINIMUM OF 24 HOURS
*ENGAGE IN ANY INTENSE ACTIVITY WHICH MAY INVOLVE TWISTING OF THE SPINE.(IE WAKEBOARDING , JIU JITSU, SOCCER OR BASEBALL.
*DRINK HEAVY ALCOHOL WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ASHIATSU
*LIFT HEAVY OBJECTS OVER 35LB WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ASHIATSU. BE CAUTIOUS WHEN WORKING OUT OR HEAVY YARD WORK
