DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?
No, but sometimes same-day/last minute appointments are available. Please call/text first or schedule online.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Not at this time, but you can use an HSA(Health Savings Account) or an FSA (Flexible Spending Account) debit card to pay for sessions. See BLOG page for more information. Massage therapy prescribed by a physician is exempt from sales tax.
WHAT MASSAGE SHOULD I CHOOSE?
The most popular and recommended are the 75 and 90 minute massages.
75 minutes is ideal for a full-body massage(head, neck and shoulders, back, arms, legs and feet)
90 minutes is perfect if you want a full body massage and need a little extra time in some areas.
WHAT DO I WEAR DURING THE MASSAGE?
Each massage is customized to the client. You will always be properly covered during the session. Most people undress down to underwear. For some treatments, like Ashiatsu it is best to completely disrobe, so the therapist can efficiently and fluidly address low back, hip and hamstring issues. For Traditional Eastern Ashiatsu(STRETCH Therapy) it is best to wear comfortable clothing that can stretch.
CAN I TALK DURING THE MASSAGE?
Of course! Some people want to relax and do not want to talk. Others, relax by talking. It is entirely up to you. It is important to communicate your pressure needs, whether it is too deep or not deep enough. Also, let your therapist know if you are uncomfortable, if the room or heated table is too warm, or cold. Lastly, please speak up if you think of something important that you forgot on the intake form or if you have any questions.
HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER THE MASSAGE?
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience a freedom from aches and pains. After the initial feeling or relaxation, some experience increased energy, heightened awareness and greater productivity which may last for several days. Toxins can be released during the massage, so it is recommended that you drink plenty of water before and after your massage.
WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Plan on arriving 5-10 minutes early for sessions. Unlike the average doctor's office, I run on time! If you are running late, just communicate with me and by text or phone. I still may be able to accommodate you but if I have a client after you, your session may be shortened.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Your appointment has been reserved for you. It is common courtesy to give no less than 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Though I may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis, cancellations/rescheduling within 24 hours of your appointment is subject to a cancellation fee, 50% of the full cost of your session, If you send someone in your place, or if I can re-book your vacancy with another client, you will not be charged at all. Cancellations/rescheduling with less than 2 hours notice are treated the same as no-shows(missed appointment with no notice) and will be charged at the full session rate unless I can fill your vacancy last minute with another client.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE?
Massage and bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage and bodywork is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.
ARE THERE ANY MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD MAKE MASSAGE OR BODYWORK INADVISABLE?
Yes. That's why it's imperative that, before you begin your session, the practitioner asks general health questions. It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor's care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session. Depending on the condition, approval from your doctor may be required.
